My View

This will be a space where I’ll share some cool sites that I’ve happened upon. Maybe this will help me (and you) to come up with the next geospatial “whiz bang” solution!! Well, maybe it’ll just be fun!

OK. So - I’m a mother of two with a house that always seems to need to be cleaned. How do I find the time to surf the net for cool sites to get my brain moving on projects at work? Well, I don’t find the time…I kinda steall it!!

Somedays, I’m lucky to get a moment to myself. To be honest, I’ve started keeping track on how quickly I can get to the computer, open up my email client, and actually see who has emailed me before I hear, “Mommmmy!” So far, I’m not able to get to the last part. Usually, I can get as far as the login screen before I hear someone calling for me. Ugh.

But, in the early morning hours, after I’ve been woken by at least one of my kids, I find myself wandering down to my home office with a drink of water in my hands and an itch to read email and see what’s happened in the world. I take a few moments to look at CNN, and then I realize I can start looking for fun things!!! Maps are my favorite!

The weekends are my best chance for exposing myself to some cool sites. Whetther I find them intentionally or by accident, I will use this space to enter some and possibly comment on them. Hopefully, this may be interesting to someone else, too!
